Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of bitumen based products, providing customers with asphalt, blended binders and emulsion products. They are a listed company and employ more than 18,000 people. They continue to invest in state-of-the-art technology such as asphalt plants that use more recycled products and substantially less energy.
POSITION
Our client has a vacancy in its National R&D Laboratory (NRDL), which is located in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs. This is a role requiring some experience and so we are looking for Degree qualified candidates, preferably in a scientific discipline.
This position is initially on a 12-month contract that will commence in late October and will require you to work 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will initially be conducting quality control testing of bituminous emulsions and road construction products then move on to mix design. The role involves:
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Officer, ideally someone with experience working in an industrial laboratory. Ultimately, success in this role would lead to you being considered a technical specialist within the construction materials industry—you must be willing to get your hands dirty!
