Our client, a multinational, high-profile company, is a leading provider of polyurethane solutions. Servicing the adhesives, coatings, and elastomers market, they are a company of choice for developing tailor-made solutions.
From heavy-duty coatings to adhesives and sealants for packaging, manufacturing and flooring applications, our client can provide adhesive, coating, and elastomer formulations through their ready access to an extensive family of off-the-shelf and customisable polyurethane raw materials, components, and system solutions.
ROLE
Reporting directly to the Senior Technical Service Officer, the role of Technical Assistant will be to provide support within a laboratory setting—this position involves spending time formulating blends and also subjecting them to testing.
Ideally, we are looking for a person who is able to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively, and has proven project management skills. An outgoing nature is ideal for this role that has the potential to become a permanent position, which will ultimately involve greater interaction with the client’s customers.
The initial 12-month contract will require working full-time hours (i.e., 38 hours per week) and, employed on an ongoing casual basis for the hours worked, the employer during this period shall be CS Executive Group (Labour Hire License No: VICLHL01251).

You will need to be able to portray your enthusiasm for working in a setting relating to industrial chemicals and draw upon examples of your prior use of your initiative in real-life situations.
Our client will afford anyone with relevant industry experience the opportunity to further their career through this position of Technical Assistant. However, given the on-the-job training opportunities available, recent graduates with a chemistry degree are also strongly encouraged to apply for this role as an entry-level position.
