This leadership role is based in Regional Victoria. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Senior HSE Business Partner will work together with the relevant Business Leader to create an environment where safety is paramount and becomes the effective and pragmatic way the team does things.

You will facilitate health & safety activities to educate, influence and embed a strong safety culture among the team leaders and people to achieve the most effective outcome. You will also provide the team with technical and practical HS&E advice and ensure all HS&E state regulations are complied with, ensuring self insurance systems integrity through regular site auditing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective roll out of the Safety for everyone, everyday program for the site, responsible for the facilitation of the states risk reduction programs and workers compensation.

This is a very large, complex and fast-paced operation and requires leaders that are passionate about safety and people. You must be decisive and confident, able to work with cross functional teams to ensure all concerns are addressed appropriately.



To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Degree qualified with a postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. A Certificate IV in Training and experience in Environmental Management is highly desirable.
  • At least 3 years experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role with formal HS&E qualifications desirable
  • Experience working in a team that has implemented cultural change / behavioural change in a large to medium workplace
  • Stakeholder engagement to build and leverage internal customer relationships to deliver business outcomes
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to increase safety leadership capability in the business
  • Excellent time management skills and a can-do atittude
