THE ROLE

To continue their journey of being a leader in their field, our client requires a Site Manager who thrives on autonomy and responsibility to provide strategic direction to all operational activities of this facility.

Ensuring the requirements of the site are met, you will lead major change programs to deliver continuous improvement in levels of EH&S, business efficiencies, product quality, people development and customer service.

Whilst maintaining a strong, inclusive cultural perspective, you will drive the implementation of projects capitalising on Lean Process techniques.

This role will report to the Director of Operations, ANZ.

 

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline with at least several years in an industrial / production based role at the managerial level
  • Ability to manage a complex manufacturing site whilst driving performance improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in managing change from the technical as well as the cultural perspective whilst meeting budgets and timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be dealing with a diverse group of people from a unionised shop floor through to senior business managers. Being able to adapt to the level of those that you are dealing with will be crucial
  • Experience with lean initiatives such as 5S, Visual Factory and Continuous Improvement
  • Be able to demonstrate good team leadership and mentoring skills to motivate and develop others. To accompany this you will need to demonstrate your lateral thinking and problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a range of tasks and responsibilities
  • Exceptional communication skills to ensure change projects and their benefits are clearly understood and owned throughout the site
  • Proven ability to communicate and share information
  • A working knowledge of warehouse management software packages would be advantageous
