THE ROLE

This role presents the perfect opportunity to progress your career! We are looking for a Quality Assurance professional with 5-10 years experience in the Food Industry, most likely as a QA Coordinator. Your passion for Quality, Safety and Continuous Improvement will be clearly evident as will be your ability to Coach and Mentor.

As a 2IC to the site Quality Assurance Manager, you will be required to manage all daily quality and food safety requirements. You will maintain site quality management systems including HACCP plan certification and compliance and strive for continuous improvement. Also,as a Senior Quality Partner, you will provide leave coverage for the QA Manager as needed.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership qualities, be customer focused, a decision maker and able to complete tasks and projects on time. To be short-listed, you will have worked in Food Manufacturing for more than five years and will have an excellent understanding of Food Safety and all relevant Quality Systems.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or similar
  • Five to ten years’ experience as a Quality Coordinator in the Food Industry, ideally in manufacturing
  • Intimate working knowledge of quality management systems including HACCP plans and GMP
  • Experience in quality and food safety standards such as Coles, WQA, BRC
  • Experience in managing internal audits and non-conformances
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as a team member or individually under general direction
  • Highly organised and passionate about quality and food safety
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with a proven ability to meet goals, targets and deadlines
  • A good work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player is a must!
