This agency has an Engineering Group that provides comprehensive engineering, technical, safety, reliability, design, build, and maintenance services that are aimed at delivering engineering solutions, which underpin major capital programs and engineering upgrades to its formidable infrastructure. The Engineering Group is comprised of a Mechanical Engineering Team, a Mechanical Technicians Team, an Electrical Engineering Team, and a Facilities Team, which includes Plant Maintenance staff.
Based in Melbourne, this is a fixed-term tenure of four years with benefits of annual leave and 15.4% super. This role will be reviewed for a potential extension by agreement with both parties after the four-year term. CAD Designers are being sought to join the Mechanical Engineering Team to provide design detailing and drafting support to others in the team and also conduct their own design work. With several years’ design experience, you’ll be required to provide in-house support in the use and maintenance of the team’s CAD software, which includes library and template management, controlling software licensing, and performing scheduled updates.
The Senior Mechanical CAD Designer is responsible for producing drawings for the facility’s mechanical systems infrastructure and its interconnected supporting services. And, through maintaining up-to-date models and drafts of this multiplex of instrumentation, you will provide technical support for the facility’s mechanical drafting requirements that enables new designs and modifications to be implemented in a timely manner.
You’ll also aid in troubleshooting technical issues.
