ROLE
The main purpose of the role is to provide support, insight and recommendation to the Operations based at their Regional Victorian manufacturing facility. This position of reports directly to the Technical Business Partner Lead within their smallgoods and salami division and on occasions as determined you will be require to step into the lead role. You will be responsible for the following:
Using scientific principles and structured problem solving techniques you will identify root cause and resolve product or processing issues
‘Right first time’ implementation of an agreed portfolio of new products into the plant, modification to existing or alternative raw materials
Ensure compliance to site Change Management processes and procedures
Projects are adequately assessed at project commencement and the necessary trial regime implemented to ensure ‘right first time’ implementation
Leveraging own ideas and those gleaned from external networks, actively seek to bring to the business new and exciting innovations for consideration for commercialisation
Identify and implement cost savings initiatives ensuring product quality is either maintained or improved in the process
Leverage, establish and build external partnerships to help drive product innovation to enable business growth.
Drive and model leadership style behaviours that support a safety culture at all times
Ensure all changes implemented (new product introduction, etc.) are risk assessed to ensure the risks are understood and managed accordingly
Deputise for the Technical Business Partner Lead as required
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:
Degree qualified or Diploma in Food Technology or other scientific discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Food Manufacturing or related industries
Experience in meat processing or related industries highly regarded
Sound understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Structured approach and process driven
Innovative thinker
Ability to identify and implement ‘value adding’ systems
Understanding of change management practices
Strong ability to build rapport and effective working relationships with key stakeholders
Strong communication skills
Strong meeting facilitation skills
