THE ROLE

In Australia, our client is a dynamic growing business servicing the Australian Food Manufacturing Export market. The development of this Melbourne based, Food & Dairy Testing Laboratory, is a further step to provide value to both the industry and the consumer in China.

As the Sample Registration and Customer Service Officer you are directly responsible for the accurate registration of food and dairy products as well as responding to customer enquiries, ensuring the achievement of operational and service objectives to support the vision & strategic plans of the business.

Some of the duties associated with this role include:

  • Perform routine registration of food and dairy samples.
  • Ensure service expectations and right first time KPI’s are met to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring the service delivery meets or exceeds your customers’ requirements.
  • Accurately check sample information to ensure seamless transition into the Lab.
  • As a communication interface, reporting customer needs to the Lab as well as Lab requirements to the customer.
  • Liaise closely with other team members to ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Being the market facing representative of the business, manage and record customer enquiries relating to testing and sample submission in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be shortlisted for the exciting opportunity, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

  • A Degree in Science specialising in Microbiology, Biotechnology or Food Science.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing sample registration and or customer service in a Laboratory or scientific services environment.
  • Cultural and rapid method experience in a commercial or consulting laboratory environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (oral, written & listening).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and LIMS.
  • Analytical / logical approach.
  • Professional friendly outgoing personality.
  • Customer and performance focused.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proactive approach to your work.
