The Division we are representing is at the forefront of agricultural science formulating and selling chemicals such as surfactants, amines, solvents and surface functional materials for use in agrochemicals. Some of their formulations include product types such as emulsifiable concentrates, water dispersible granules and wettable powders.



An exciting, full-time permanent opportunity, has become available for a Sales Agronomist who wishes to enter technical sales as a Key Account Manager and service the Agricultural Market Sector. Working with a great group of supportive professionals, the successful candidate will have an agricultural science background – ideally an Agronomist with 1-2 years of sales experience. You will have the ability to build relationships whilst developing trust and rapport with a broad spectrum of customers. This will vary from senior technical specialists with agricultural formulating companies through to farmers applying products to their crops. 

Some of the duties associated with this role include:

  • You will be trained to support and expand current key accounts throughout ANZ to maximize mutual value and achieve mutual benefits
  • Utilising your broad understanding of customers markets, products, raw material uses, organisation and manufacturing processes you will be a key interface with major clients
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand their needs and add value resulting in business growth
  • Develop and implement sales and account strategies for the agricultural market area in the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) region
  • Implement agreed marketing strategies and business objectives for a defined group of key and major accounts in ANZ
  • Negotiate prices, terms of sale, service and supply agreements with new and existing customers



As this is a technical, customer focused role, to be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in Science, Agricultural Science (qualifications in Agronomy will be highly regarded) with a minimum of three years experience in a similar customer focused, technical role
  • You will be a good listener exhibiting empathy, possessing great interpersonal skills as well as face-to-face technical sales skills
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills in English are a must together with good presentation skills
  • Must be a relationship builder that can develop exceptional rapport with the broad spectrum of customers you will be dealing with
  • As this is a sales role, excellent negotiation skills are mandatory
  • Excellent time and project management skills to drive projects to completion and manage conflicting demands of business and customer requirements
  • Must be willing to travel regularly within the East coast of Australia and New Zealand
