CLIENT

Our client is an established Consumer Goods company operating in a variety of markets including the growing health, wellness, personal care and other household items sectors. With a heritage of operating in Australia for well over a Century, the company has operations in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, whilst locally operates out of warehousing in Sydney and offices in both Sydney and Melbourne.

 

ROLE

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director and working alongside an incumbent Regulatory Compliance & QA Manager, this role is primarily responsible for the improvement of the company’s Quality Assurance systems. This role has been added to the business as a fixed-term tenure position for an initial period of 6 months in order to improve the company’s ability to continually drive the systematic improvements to quality and compliance in order to meet both local and overseas customer and consumer requirements.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the company’s internal and external processes are regularly reviewed as part of the company’s continuous improvement program
  • Review and improve systems that are in place to ensure that products produced by the company continue to meet customer specifications systems such as Supermarket’s and Pharmacy Outlet’s Quality & Compliance standards
  • Review and improve systems that ensure relevant regulatory requirements including TGA and NICNAS approvals are maintained
  • Review and improve internal processes related to the generation of new products (including artwork generation and approvals) such that they are fit for purpose and efficient
  • On occasion fulfill the duties of  the Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate will be experienced within Quality Assurance, ideally with Regulatory Experience in a related industry to Health, Wellness, and Consumer Products.  You will have leadership qualities, a decision maker and able to lead projects and tasks on time. 

To be successful in your application, you will ideally meet the following criteria:

  • Science degree in chemistry, biology or a related discipline
  • Working knowledge of the Australian Therapeutic Goods (TGA) Act and its requirements
  • Experience and knowledge of GMP requirements, processes and quality aspects of company operations
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Complementary Medicines or related industry mainly in the areas of QA/QC and Regulatory Affairs
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, time management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting and investigation skills
  • Hazard and·risk identification/assessment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • A change agent with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • The ability to nurture relationships internally and externally
