Our client is a major multinational supplier for personal care, pharmaceutical, coatings and chemical ingredients. This enables our client to be a true partner to their customers.

Due to growth, they are now seeking an additional person to assist and drive profitable sales through close collaboration within their key accounts in the Asia Pacific region. Located in Singapore, the successful candidate will be responsible for a few international key accounts in the Personal Care division.



Reporting to the Global Key Account Manager, this role will provide key account technical expertise to drive sales growth across the Personal Care industry of the Asia Pacific region covering existing key clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background in Personal Care ingredients, have solid experience in key account management, and highly developed interpersonal skills to quickly build trust and earn respect. The successful candidate will possess the desire and determination to grow themselves and the business.

This role will also ensure maximising sales and profitability as well as actively prospecting and expanding business, predominately within existing key accounts.

You will involve technical staff judiciously to aid the growing reputation of the company and participate in proactive campaigns to promote new ideas and product concepts to the Asian and Pacific customer base. You will also be required to liaise with other Accounts to ensure best-for-business outcomes can be achieved for both our client and their customers.



  • Manage strategic relationships with Key Account Customers related to Personal Care
  • Using your product knowledge and market trends, apply the most suitable solutions to meet customer needs, taking into account formulation costs and competitor status
  • Effectively manage the entire sales process including negotiations
  • Deliver long term business plans for the category and key accounts
  • Identify and follow up on business opportunities with technical, development and procurement teams
  • Provide your expertise in customer and market intelligence
  • Be accountable for sales and technical support of Asia Pacific portfolio including pricing and promotion of product groups
  • Drive innovative projects within key accounts and aim to be a part of each new product launch
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and support planning of products and customer services
  • Influence decision-makers within and outside of business using your product and market knowledge



To be short-listed for this exciting opportunity you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in Chemistry or related discipline with focus on Formulation, Surfactant, Emulsion or Polymer Chemistry
  • 8-10 years’ of working key account management experience in Personal Care industry with emphasis on fast moving products.
  • 5 years’ of experience in a Technical role in related industry
  • Proven record of working with key accounts, ideally regional and global
  • Solid experience of personal care products, market and needs
  • Proven track record in relationship management
  • Confident in presenting to people at all levels and functions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to learn
  • A can do attitude with a passion for excellent customer service
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to achieve results
  • Ability to travel internationally at short notice
