Our client is a well-respected Global lubricants manufacturing company with three production sites. They hold a number of accreditations including ISO 9001 and 14001. Their product range is varied and incorporates a full range of lubricating oils and greases.



We are looking for a dynamic person with leadership skill who is eager to join a professional and modern laboratory, equipped with state of the art equipment.

Reporting to the R&D Manager, your duties will include the development of new products, analysis and adjustments of formulations and ensuring that all formulations, manufacturing instructions and QC specifications are correct. You will also be required to train new staff, assist in the maintenance of laboratory accreditations and the day to day upkeep and safety of the laboratory.



To be considered for this position, you will need to meet to following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications (degree or higher) in chemistry, chemical engineering or similar
  • Five years minimum experience in a research setting, ideally in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience specifically manufacturing and testing of lubricants or related products will be highly regarded but not essential
  • Extensive computer literacy – experience using SAP will be highly regarded
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident decision maker and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and technical report writing
  • Good work ethic, excellent interpersonal skill and a good team player is a must!
