CLIENT

Our client manufactures Adhesives, Sealants and Coatings for a variety of uses and commercial applications. They have a significant footprint in the Australian market and have been manufacturing locally for several decades. Innovation and Customer Service are extremely important value drivers for the business, and a highly consistent, well functioning and quality product is very much a part of this business agenda.

 

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful candidate will have at least 5 years of practical hands-on laboratory experience within a manufacturing environment. In this role you will be supporting the Operations team to make consistently high quality functioning products, and supervise Laboratory Staff.

You will be responsible for the Quality Management System for the site, including: managing and conducting internal audits, right through to issue resolution and close out; Customer Quality Issue investigation and corrective actions; and approval for in-bound materials and finished goods.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science, Technology or similar
  • Minimum of five years experience in a quality process oriented role, including routine and non-routine materials testing
  • Relevant industry experience will be well regarded
  • Successful direct people management, through leadership and coaching skills
  • Proven ability to collect and analyse data, interpret and develop strategies to address non-conformance &/or anomalies
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite and ERP software (SAP)
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills along with the ability to work with a range of people
  • High attention to detail, well organised and the ability to work autonomously
  • A self-starter with continuous improvement mindset to drive quality
