CLIENT

Our client is a well-known manufacturer of food ingredients and are based north of Melbourne CBD. Due to holiday leave and an increased volume of work they are looking for an enthusiastic Laboratory Technician/Quality Assurance Officer to join their team on the 4th January 2016.

 

ROLE

This contract is for an experienced Laboratory Technician and/or Quality Assurance Officer who has experience working in a food laboratory or food manufacturing laboratory. The contract is for the month of January, after which the contractor will be assessed on their performance and if successful offered a full time, permanent role within the QA Team.

This role will be split 50/50 to consist of conducting simple laboratory technician tasks half the time and quality assurance work the remainder. Moving forward past the initial contract the role will become 100% Quality Assurance.

You will be using NIR, generating reports, problem solving, following up on customer requirements and helping out with internal audits.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a food laboratory/industry, a strong understanding of HACCP, ISO, HSE and GMP. You will be able to hit the ground running from day one, work autonomously, be hands on, a good communicator, diligent, and confident. You will be assertive and show initiative as well as have troubleshooting capabilities.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COMMENCE WORK ON THE 4TH JANUARY 2016

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

Your application will be considered if you have the following:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Food Science, Food Tech etc)
  • A few years’ experience working in a Food Laboratory or Food Manufacturing environment*
  • Experienced using NIR or similar
  • Assertive with great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Have experience working under GMP/GLP
  • Have the right to work in Australia, currently located in Melbourne and are available to start IMMEDIATELY

*Exceptional Graduates might be considered
