CLIENT
Based in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs, our client is a Australian owned and operated manufacturing business that supplies its range of products to the food industry. The business has been growing successfully for over a decade and, through a substantial investment in its plant and equipment, has resulted in a multi-million dollar company. Its products are ingredients supplied to food manufacturing companies that includes several well-recognised FMCG brands.
ROLE
Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring Quality Standards are met for the entire Supply Chain during the afternoon shift (i.e., Mon to Fri 3 pm to 11.30 pm). This is achieved by: conducting routine testing and recording of results; auditing systems and processes; training manufacturing staff; and rectifying any abnormal results.
This role shall suit someone who has progressed from their tertiary education to accrue some experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a Food Manufacturing environment.
Daily duties will vary, ranging from: participating in routine Food Safety and Quality Management programs, which include internal/external audits and in-line process control measurements; through to supporting Vendor Assurance, Product Labelling, and Sensory & Shelf-Life Evaluation activities.
SELECTION CRITERIA
You shall have a degree in Food Science & Technology, or a related subject, and possess previous experience within a Food Manufacturing environment.
