Our client is an independent Australian owned company. With their innovative, efficient extraction and purification manufacturing process, they strive to be a world leader in the supply of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to be used in drug manufacturing.
We are looking for a dynamic person with a strong background in QC and Analytical Chemistry with some supervisory skills. You will have approximately three junior chemists reporting directly to you. You will be involved in maintaining the laboratories GMP and ISO 9001 accreditation as well as training and mentoring other staff.
You will be involved in the troubleshooting, validation and method development of laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC.
You will be working with the senior management team, liaising with external suppliers and clients, leading projects, and maintaining a strong OH&S culture.
You will be responsible for the development of and potential improvements to established processes with the aim of improving efficiency, product purity and reducing cost; planning and conducting experiments to assess the viability of these potential process improvements; providing technical and analytical support during process commissioning, identifying critical process parameters and assisting in the development of analytical and in process check methods.
