Our client is looking to add two QC Chemists to their team!
Both positions are ongoing, full-time ongoing contracts and present a great opportunity for graduate chemists with a few years of experience or experienced chemists to work in a dynamic, professional work environment.
Initially, the successful candidates will work normal hours, Monday to Friday, working in an Octane Engine lab or a GC lab testing transportation fuels using analytical instruments and different test methods (physical properties testing). Further down the track, depending on the needs of the laboratory, you may be trained to test fuels using a variety of other methods, including automated and manual instruments such as XRF, HPLC and Distillation units as well as various wet chemical techniques.
As the laboratory operates seven days a week, we need you to be flexible because this role may require you to work rotating shifts (working 3 days on followed by 3 days off). The shifts are 10 hours each and can start as early as 7:00 am and finish as late as 8 pm.
