Our client, a successful drug development company listed on the ASX, is focused on commercialising products using its proprietary drug delivery technology. They have a history of successfully developing and licensing pharmaceutical products with a few already in the US and Europe whilst a range of generic and patent-preferred products are in development.

Boasting modern facilities and state of the art laboratories, our client offers a friendly, supportive work environment and access to parking as well as public transport.



This permanent, full-time role will require the successful candidate to effectively and efficiently lead and facilitate the planning and execution of pharmaceutical product development projects in an ethical pharmaceutical company with a focus on generation of socioeconomic value.

Some of the duties associated with this position include:

  • Forecasting program resources, time and cost, and providing advice on strategies to effectively execute programs
  • Hands on interaction and input with individual project participants/managers and management of projects
  • Input into multiple project teams and responsibility for reporting of resource and budget flows derived from multiple project plans
  • Responsibility for overall project timelines from early development through to technical transfer and post-launch
  • Provide operational guidance to project teams through planning and prioritising tasks
  • Owner of all project related matters that input into the company business plans and support their budgets



To be short-listed for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in science or related fields; PM certification and/or MBA highly regarded
  • Proven Project Management experience within in a biotech or pharmaceutical company
  • Working knowledge of drug development and commercialisation
  • An understanding of the drug development process and the regulatory environment in the US and EU.
  • Anticipation and resolution of issues to mitigate risk and achieve objectives
  • Ability to work successfully in project teams with a commercial focus
  • A broad perspective of therapeutic areas and the global pharmaceutical competitive environment.
  • Ability to identify problems and find solutions or escalate appropriately, “can-do” attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good presentation skills
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Project
  • Interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
  • Availability for meetings outside of business hours will be required at times. Interstate and overseas travel may be required
