Our client is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and commercialising specialty and generic topical pharmaceuticals. With a strong product pipeline and continued growth, the company is listed on the ASX.

THE ROLE

Our client wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Project Manager with solid experience in technology transfer, to lead and facilitate the planning and execution of pharmaceutical product development projects.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the reporting of resource and budget flows derived from multiple project plans.

Some of the duties associated with this position include:

  • Forecasting program resources, time and cost, and providing advice on strategies to effectively execute programs
  • Provide hands-on interaction and input with individual project participants/managers and management of projects
  • Input into multiple project teams and responsibility for reporting of resource and budget flows derived from multiple project plans
  • Responsibility for overall project timelines from early development through to technology transfer and post-launch
  • Provide operational guidance to project teams through planning and prioritising tasks
  • Owner of all project-related matters that input into the company business plans and support their budgets

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

You will be experienced in project management within a pharmaceutical company or other regulated industry and have a detailed knowledge of drug development, commercialisation and regulatory processes in both the USA and Europe.

Experience in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical or cosmetic products is essential; preferably with semi-solids dose forms. You will be able to anticipate and resolve a variety of issues to mitigate project risks and achieve objectives.

Specialty skills in pharmaceutical manufacturing and contract manufacturer management are highly desirable.

Flexibility to travel locally and internationally will be required.

In summary, to be short-listed for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in science or related fields; PM certification and/or MBA highly regarded
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Working knowledge of drug development and commercialisation process
  • An understanding of the drug development process and the regulatory environment in the US and EU.
  • Anticipation and resolution of issues to mitigate risk and achieve objectives
  • Ability to work successfully in project teams with a commercial focus
  • Ability to identify problems and find solutions or escalate appropriately, “can-do” attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good presentation skills
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Project
  • Interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
  • Availability for meetings outside of business hours will be required at times. Interstate and overseas travel may be required
