Our client is a well-known and highly respected Food Manufacturer. They are part of a global, diversified international group employing over 100,000 employees worldwide. This leadership role is based in Regional Victoria and reports to the Supply Planning Manager. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in planning and balancing the generation and consumption of Re-chop. You will provide the interface between all manufacturing areas, and the Technical and Finance teams to optimise Re-chop usage and develop solutions when challenges and opportunities arise. This role also encompasses Export and Third Party planning.

You will be responsible for creating and executing an accurate, feasible, short-term finite production schedule as well as maintaining a constrained medium to longer term supply plan. These plans must support the demand plan and be fully achievable while optimising operations resources. Highly computer literate and process driven, you will manage and influence scheduling, SAP entry, reporting of daily production schedule attainment and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, Third Party planning will involve creation and management of purchase orders, with ongoing communication and negotiation with our external vendors.



To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant degree in Supply Chain or Manufacturing and APICS Qualification are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated planning experience in a fast moving, short shelf life manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (SAP).
  • Computer literate with excellent Microsoft Office Suite application skills
  • Ability to work as part of a highly functioning Supply Planning team and to work cross functionally on a daily basis
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills to support the team when system issues arise – required to make quick decisions, and put clear actions into place to proactively address problems on a daily basis
  • Proven experience identifying and deploying process improvements
