Our client, a 100% owned and operated Australian business, is aspecialist manufacturer of surfactants servicing the Agricultural Industry. Great science developing niche products together with responsive service to clients, has seen the Company grow every year with plans for further expansion in the near future.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the CEO, this is an all-encompassing, autonomous role and would suit someone who is energetic and wants to be rewarded and recognised for working hard and achieving results. As the Production and Dispatch Manager of this small operation, you will be hands-on and in charge of the production process and dispatch of final product.
Some of your duties will include:
Supervision of product blending to meet client delivery times whilst motivating a small team of workers
Batch blending as needed (approx. 30% of your time)
Dealing with freight companies to organise pick up of product
Basic Quality Control testing of the finished product
Simple machine maintenance – filling machines, pumps, forklifts
Use of forklift to move product and raw materials and to load truck as needed
Implementing systems and processes to improve turnaround times
In charge of OH&S
Work outside normal working hours and days as needed during busy season
Following of recipes and formulas to ensure product quality and accuracy
Batch documentation and other related duties
