THE ROLE

With a qualification in Food Technology, Baking or similar, the successful candidate will be required to conduct testing and analysis of pastry products to ensure quality and food safety requirements meet company, retailer and legislative requirements.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in reducing consumer and customer complaints
  • Ensure product quality compliance by managing product testing including test baking of pastry products
  • Conduct validation activities as required utilising Sensory Evaluation Team when defects are identified
  • Assist with new product launches and post launch reviews
  • Attending retail stores and engaging with customers
  • Communication with clients such as Coles, Woolworths and Bakers delight
  • Assist with maintaining quality management system including HACCP plan
  • Assist with group quality and food new initiatives as required
  • Participate in and promote a culture that adheres to the highest quality, GMP and food safety standards

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment (essential)
  • Experience in quality and food safety standards such as Coles, WQA, BRC & HACCP (essential)
  • Food Technician or Baking Qualification (essential)
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Passionate about quality and food safety
  • Seeking a career path in quality and food safety
  • Works well in a team environment and autonomously when required
