Our client is an integral part of the APAC Division of a global business with its Head Office in the US. With close ties to the New Zealand and SE Asian operations, their small yet highly specialised R&D group, produce APVMA registered chemical products for use by the Timber Industry.



Due to internal movement, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in the R&D group. Reporting to the APAC R&D Manager, the main function of this role is to develop and expand the product range offered by the client. You will have a strong understanding of chemical principles with several years of product formulation experience ideally in agrochemicals. You will be involved with the process from product conception through pilot studies and finally introducing the product into full production.



To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Formulation Science or similar
  • Several years of experience in agrochemical formulation and product development will be highly regarded but not necessary
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Must be a lateral and innovative thinker with a strong practical ability
  • You will possess excellent time management skills, attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task
  • Key to this role will be your flexible “can do” attitude, excellent work ethic and initiative whilst working autonomously or as part of a team
  • Ability to travel to NZ and SE Asia several times a year
