Our client is an established Consumer Goods company operating in a variety of markets including the growing health, wellness, personal care and other household items sectors. With a heritage of operating in Australia for well over a Century, the company has operations in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, whilst locally operates out of offices in both Melbourne and Sydney. Being mindful of any impact on the environment, this Company has been a signatory on the Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) and it’s predecessor for over a decade and continues to progress on its Action Plan.
As part of the APC Action Plan, this role will commence initially as a contract position for between 6-9 months, with a potential for extension &/or a permanent opportunity. It is based ideally in the Melbourne office supporting the business in sourcing products predominately from Asia including China, to support Category Brand objectives of becoming increasingly Eco-friendly and sustainable.
Reporting to the Research & Development Director, you will be working alongside the R&D team to design new products that fit the brand guidelines, and specifically ensure that the impact on the environment is considered, with a view of improving key measure consistent with the Action Plan. As the successful candidate, you will be initially focussed on one sector of the business, including the sourcing and evaluation of new materials available to augment the existing range.
