Our client is an established Consumer Goods company operating in a variety of markets including the growing health, wellness, personal care and other household items sectors.  With a heritage of operating in Australia for well over a Century, the company has operations in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, whilst locally operates out of both Sydney and Melbourne.



Reporting directly to the Pre- Production Manager – New Products, the successful candidate will ensure that new products transition from design to first production smoothly. This will be achieved by coordinating activity between the Company, suppliers in China and local manufacturers. Various employment options are available to suit your lifestyle and career ambitions including permanent and contract.


Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Effectively manage critical path for each project, ensuring schedules, samples and first production are met
  • Manage sourcing and supply
  • Creation and analysis of costing
  • Sourcing & communicating with local and overseas suppliers on all production requirements.
  • Coordinate and ascertain approvals on samples and mass production samples
  • Coordinate packaging cost/ time-line and packaging sample management
  • Assist in creating and implementing sourcing technical documents for new products
  • General administration support as required
  • Negotiating better pricing, terms and conditions
  • Ensuring all negotiated agreements are documented and signed
  • Quality Assurance and issue resolution with suppliers



To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • 2-3 years’ relevant procurement or project management experience – Cosmetics and personal care industry/retail will be highly regarded
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proven professional approach in business dealings
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Highly organized with a strong analytical mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop and complete projects
  • Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality results to management
  • Interest in the Health, Wellness & Beauty sector
