CLIENT
Our client is a well known global manufacturer of pharmaceutical products. With excellent facilities in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs, their business continues to grow both in Australia and overseas. With TGA and FDA accreditations, the company follows stringent GMP practices ensuring all products manufactured on-site are of the highest quality.
ROLE
This is a contract role for four months which will be reviewed. It requires the person to work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will have a few years experience in a similar role, as this is an entry level role, and will be available to start ASAP. In summary, you will be required to:
Produce and manage the Manufacturing Schedule for Production in liaison with the Department Managers that meets the order due dates whilst optimizing machine utilization.
Place and maintain purchase orders of packaging and raw materials to support the production plan, whilst ensuring appropriate levels of quality, cost and service from the supplier.
Manage expiry of Raw Materials
Manage multiple stakeholders and competing demands
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the following criteria:
Relevant tertiary qualifications
Buying and Scheduling experience, using MRP systems and processes
Experience in a manufacturing environment
APICS knowledge or accreditation well regarded
Understanding of the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) within a food or pharmaceutical environment would be ideal
High standard of computer literacy, ideally ERP systems
Must be results driven with excellent problem solving and time management skills
Must be able to deal with material quality problems effectively and escalate as required.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
Capable of resolving day-to-day issues and situations that arise as related to both manufacturing/packaging and materials.
Able to work under pressure and make decisions with minimal guidance.
