CLIENT
Our client is a well-respected petroleum manufacturing company with resources that service all of Australia. They hold a number of accreditation’s including ISO9001, 17025 and 14001. Their product range is wide and varied and incorporates the full range of petroleum products. They are a profitable and viable business with a secure future!

 

ROLE
Based in Victoria, Australia, this role requires someone that can walk in and start acting as a Team Leader for the day-to-day operations of this petroleum laboratory. Alternatively, they are equally willing to take someone who has commenced on their supervisory pathway and is happy to work with the current leadership team under an extensive Induction and Transitional period.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA
To be successful in your application, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications (degree or higher) in chemistry, chemical engineering or similar.
  • Must have previous experience working in a Petroleum environment as a senior chemist or similar
  • Previous experience in managing or supervising a QC team in a Petroleum environment would be highly regarded
  • Understanding of petroleum quality and Trade Practices will be well regarded.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to investigate quality issues.
  • Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance and preferably NATA (ISO17025) experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good business acumen and confident decision maker especially on issues that impact the Company.
  • Familiarity with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is highly desirable.
