CLIENT
Our client is a well-known and highly respected Food Manufacturer. They are part of a global, diversified international group employing over 100,000 employees worldwide. ROLE
The Packaging Coordinator role is based in Regional Victoria and reports to the Packaging Manager. The core role components are to design, develop, specify and commercialise packaging components to meet business requirements. Some of the duties associated with this role include:
Lead packaging projects, including coordination with other departments as part of cross-functional teams
Assist in identifying packaging NPD and cost saving opportunities
Supply packaging spec brief to Marketing for new graphics
Determine and manage all technical requirements that need to be incorporated into new/updated graphics including concept art approval process between Marketing, designer & printer/prepress
Arrange and manage production trials, including post trial communication within cross functional teams to ensure project progress within scope and on time
Maintain packaging material specifications for assigned project work
Provide technical support for packaging related issues to the manufacturing plant
Identify cost savings and packaging improvement processes
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:
Bachelor degree or Diploma in Packaging, Engineering, Science, Manufacturing or other related discipline
Over five years experience in a packaging development role, ideally within a consumer goods manufacturing environment
Project management skills
Working knowledge of Excel & Word
Self-motivated & ability to develop robust plans including contingency and risk mitigation alternatives
Structured approach to problem solving
Working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
Experience with CAPE Pack (palletisation) well regarded
High level computer literacy, good time management and organisation skills are a must
Excellent interpersonal skills and cross functional communication skills are essential for this role
