CLIENT
Our client is one of New Zealand’s and Australia’s largest FMCG, manufacturing and distribution companies. Part of a global organisation, their cleaning and hygiene product range is diverse and services the Food and Beverage, Hospitality and Institutional Healthcare Industries. Our client has multiple manufacturing and distribution center locations nationally and they service customers across Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
ROLE
Reporting to the Operations and Supply Chain Director this full-time position is based in the Fremantle area, WA.
The person required for this role will manage day to day operations of the manufacturing plant, including production staff, QC, maintenance and warehouse staff. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a minimum of ten years’ direct operations management experience.
Responsibilities include:
Day to day management with running of manufacturing lines including coordination of production, staff and materials
Adherence to production plan
Maintaining and promoting safe working environment at all time at the highest level
Being the first point of contact for any plant related issues, including maintenance, reliability and efficiency
Provide the highest standard of product quality by ensuring production follows the formulation, standard operating procedure, and QC checks in place per the Quality Management System and GMP
Regular collaboration with warehouse staff and procurement to ensure synergy to the overall business
Set up and maintain KPI’s to measure and achieve performance across safety, manufacturing efficiency, product delivery, quality of product and conversion costs
You must have proven experienced in manufacturing, have a strong safety focus and be decisive to ensure all concerns are addressed appropriately.
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:
At least 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing management role
A detailed understanding of manufacturing processing plant and equipment
At least 5-10 years’ experience in managing production teams across different functions of operations
Experience with implementation of safety models and maintenance of safe working environment is a must.
Proven ability to stop unsafe work practice and implement correct safety practices across the facility
Experience with correct use, disposal and storage of Hazardous and Dangerous Good chemicals.
Whilst formal qualifications are not mandatory, tertiary education in Engineering, Chemistry or similar will be well regarded
Proven leadership skills and people management skills with emphasis on product quality and safety
