CLIENT

Our client has grown rapidly being an early adopter of consumer trends, particularly healthy eating and drinking. They have a significant National presence, with distribution across all Australian States/Territories and New Zealand, through both Food Service and Retail Channels. In recent times they have also embarked on global expansion across several countries which further contributes to this rapid expansion.

Due to this adventurous innovative culture, it is a fun environment and it is casual Friday every day. Don’t be fooled though, the pace is express and they work extremely hard. They work closely with their Co-manufacturers to produce healthy and better-for-you food and beverages, using authentic ingredients.

 

ROLE

This role will suit an experienced and creative Food Technologist who has a flexible mind-set whilst being able to execute product launches through managing the development process. Initially the category within your remit will be soups and meals category.

Reporting to the Innovation Manager, you will be working cross functionally with other colleagues within the business and with third party manufacturers to ensure projects are managed successfully, and innovative great tasting and nutritious products are launched.

 

REQUIREMENTS

A true team player, the ideal candidate will be a demonstrably passionate foodie and meet the following criteria:

  • A tertiary qualification in Food Technology or similar discipline
  • Five+ years working as an NPD Food Technologist in a fast-paced environment, ideally including meal solutions such as soups, and items in either chilled or frozen categories.
  • A diligent, hardworking individual with a strong work ethic who has demonstrated ability to champion tasks and drive projects through to completion
  • Flexibility to deal with a change in priorities at short notice including the ability to switch tasks rapidly
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively interact and collaborate with others in the team
  • Be optimistic and resilient, whilst willing to take on activities outside core role
  • Knowledge of FSANZ, Retailer Quality Systems and Food Safety
