THE ROLE

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, this senior national role represents an exceptional opportunity for a driven and strategic Sales Manager to lead a Key Sector. Your main objective will be to strategically manage a sales team to grow sales revenue and market share resulting in improved profitability. You will also manage the implementation of Regional and Global strategies that support HSE policies, Employee engagement, as well as a Continuous Improvement culture.

The main responsibilities associated with this role include:

  • Managing the sales team to grow sales profitably including all areas of coaching and development
  • A close understanding of the customer market, analyse and report on the competitive landscape to be included in the development of strategies to engage all stakeholders
  • Regularly maintain contact with key accounts while developing new potential customers
  • Involved in recruitment and retention strategies
  • Working cross functionally with the senior team to develop and execute business objectives

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

Are you a strategic Sales Manager with excellent interpersonal and team management skills that leads by example? We want someone that is committed to being an integral part of the sales team as well as an important component of the Business Management Team.

To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Proven surface coatings experience in a commercial environment
  • Extensive experience in a sales management role within a large corporate entity including the ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans
  • Excellent team management skills with a proven ability to coach, develop and mentor those working with you, while implementing succession planning strategies
  • Well developed relationship building capabilities that will be reflected in your track record of strong sales growth
  • Possess strong analytical, strategic thinking and influencing skills
  • Customer focused with a proven capacity to support and manage customer expectations and enhance satisfaction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse group of customers and negotiate successful outcomes through strategic thinking
  • Ability to travel frequently within New Zealand to maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and stakeholders
