Our client is a well-known and highly respected Food Manufacturer. They are part of a global, diversified international group employing over 100,000 employees worldwide. With clarity on future direction and clearly defined values, our client is one of Australia’s and New Zealand’s largest food manufacturers.
ROLE
Based in regional Victoria, this role reports to the Reliability Manager. The site’s reliability team is responsible for ensuring that the site maintenance and reliability program is implemented timely and effectively for all site assets.
The Reliability Engineer is required to play a key role in implementing the program.
Some of the responsibilities associated with this role include:
Ensuring safety rules and procedures are followed and carried out
Completing actions from the sites reliability asset improvement list
Reviewing repeat failures by conducting RCA and FMEA
Conducting PM studies on new and old equipment as required and implement PMs into CMMS
Analyse asset and line performance and write performance reports as required
Work closely with production and maintenance planners to ensure improvement work is well communicated with both departments and work is effectively scheduled
Train and develop Maintenance and Production teams as required on any new equipment installs, line improvements or any new asset care programs that need to be implemented
Work closely with capital team to ensure any new projects have a PM program developed and a critical spare parts list developed prior to hand over to production
Demonstrate strong Project Engineering skills that display the ability to develop Process Specification, Tender preparation and evaluation, Equipment Testing and Commissioning
Maintains the site maintenance and reliability manual
Add any new maintenance and reliability process flow descriptions and mapping to ensure site manual remains live and current
Work closely and collaboratively with maintenance trades and maintenance managers, project engineers and site planners in order to achieve sustainable reliability improvements
Ensure any improvement projects have the justification to provide a net benefit to the business
Continually exhibit a Maintenance Excellence attitude
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Post Graduate or Masters qualifications will be highly regarded
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering preferably in the Plant Reliability space
Excellent understanding of preventative maintenance concepts and techniques
Ability to manage implementation of improvement projects
Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts RCA, FMEA, MTBF and implementation for performance and cost improvements
Software skills: CMMS, Excel and Database packages
Excellent analytical skills
High level communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
