THE COMPANY

Our client is a well known, successful pharmaceutical company based in Melbourne’s CBD. Due to the success of their innovative products, they continue to grow and excel.

ROLE

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint two pharmaceutical Chemists with R&D and QC experience for a period of seven months. In this exciting dual role, you will be responsible for the development, optimisation and validation of analytical methods, in particular HPLC, according to ICH, FDA guidelines and compendial requirements as appropriate. You will also be required to perform QC testing of raw materials, in-process samples, components and finished product samples.

These roles are fixed term tenures working directly for the client and the successful candidates will be entitled to annual leave, personal leave and payment for public holidays. Ideally, you will be able to commence employment early in January 2016.

 

REQUIREMENTS

A true team player, the ideal candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary Qualifications (BSc/BPharm or equivalent)) with at least three years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience in the analysis of pharmaceutical or chemical products and proficient in the use of scientific instrumentation, in particular Waters Empower™ computer systems.
  • Understanding and commitment to GMP/GLP requirements, quality systems and OH&S
  • Use of other analytical techniques such as LC-MS would be highly regarded but not essential
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office software, in particular Excel and Word
  • Sound practical ability (able to produce accurate and precise results) and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to exercise individual judgement and initiative in the application of scientific principles, techniques and methods
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task.
  • Key to this role will be your flexible “can do” attitude, excellent work ethic and initiative whilst working autonomously or as part of a team
  • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to write documentation to a high standard of language and content.
