Our client is a locally based manufacturer of specialised products. A listed company that export more than 90% of their products worldwide with the Melbourne Headquarters home to their main production / manufacturing facilities. The company’s success has been driven by a strong production team, product design and innovation.

Due to consistent growth of the business, an exciting new role has been created within the manufacturing team.

 

ROLE

We are seeking an accomplished manufacturing leader with a background in pharmaceutical, GMP or FMCG quality based production environments. This role is responsible for driving performance improvements against key safety, quality, productivity and cost metrics. The successful candidate will be accountable for embedding a continuous improvement culture and for leading, coordinating and controlling production. You will assist with planning and directing the layout of equipment to ensure production follows standard workflow and assembly methods. You will be involved in scheduling, inducting and training production staff, and ensuring manufacturing performance and goals are met.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering- Manufacturing or similar
  • At least ten years’ experience in a similar role in a Manufacturing Environment such as FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, or related field
  • Demonstrated successful track record of managing a manufacturing site
  • Experience working in a GMP environment will be highly regarded but not essential
  • Strong leadership with excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly motivated, energetic and goal-oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a range of tasks and responsibilities
  • Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate and liaise with people at all levels
  • Experience using SAP or similar
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant computer applications
