CLIENT

Our client is an international company that is a leading manufacturer of chemicals used in electrochemical plating and coating solutions, focusing on design and support for all types of metallic coatings on both base metals and plastics. A vacancy has become available for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their team on a permanent full time basis.

 

ROLE

This is a diverse laboratory based role that will include the following duties:

  • Maintaining batch control systems
  • Carry out calibration tasks
  • Managing outsourced calibrations (as per registery requirements)
  • Perform sample testing of products for customers
  • Performance testing of products
  • Produce and authorise product compliance certificates
  • Test and approve incoming raw materials

The ideal candidate will have many years’ experience working in a QC laboratory, a strong understanding of calibration requirements and is used to working autonomously to complete testing requirements.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, or a Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or similar.
  • at least 3+ years’ proven experience in a similar laboratory based setting.
  • You must have experience using AAS & UV-Vis
    Experience performing titrations, test panel performance and thickness testing is essential
  • Experience testing the composition of metallic effluent, electroplating chemicals would be highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of and experience working with Dangerous Goods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, has excellent time management and record keeping skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, work ethic and a good team player is a must!
