THE ROLE
Our client requires a Laboratory Technician on a short-term contract to conduct full-time work at their Technical Centre in the Western suburbs. This contract role will facilitate an ongoing project being lead by a Product Development Specialist and serves to augment the activities of an experienced staff member, who will be available to act as a mentor for the new team member.
In this role you will undertake a range of mechanical and physical tests of polymer samples, including but not limited to:
Additionally, you will also support the project’s efforts in relation to weighing, sonication, and compounding of samples containing specialised and novel polyethylene additives.
The successful candidate will be provided with the relevant procedure and safety training, on-site inductions will also occur.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideally, this role would suit a recent chemistry or materials engineering graduate or a Laboratory Technician. Our client requires someone to start in early October.
