Our client is a Global Company who Manufacture Chemicals. Their Melbourne site is quality focussed and accredited to a number of quality systems including ISO9001, ISO17025 and ISO14001. Due to growth, they are currently looking for Laboratory Technician on a permanent full-time basis.



In this role, you will be required to ensure raw materials, in-process and finished goods meet quality control standards. The duties will include conducting analytical testing and reporting; supporting maintenance and implementation of safety, quality and environmental management systems; and providing support to operations and customer service.

You will undertake sampling, testing and analysis of samples, products and customer service complaint samples. Other duties will include maintaining laboratory equipment including relevant calibrations and assisting in research and development activities.



  • Diploma or degree in Chemistry or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 yrs experience in a laboratory, ideally Environmental or Chemical Industry
  • Must have GC experience and well developed laboratory and instrumental skills
  • Experience working in a NATA accredited Laboratory will be highly regarded
  • Good mathematical skills and the ability to analyse test results for relevance and significance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with a proven ability to meet goals, targets and deadlines.
  • Safety and environmental awareness
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite of Products, Internet Explorer and Outlook
  • A good work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player is a must!
