CLIENT
Our client is a leading manufacturer of tin and lead based products including solders, bearing metals, jewellery casting alloys, fusible alloys and socketing metals as well as lead came and other cast and extruded products. A vacancy has become available for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their team on either a contract or permanent basis. Working a 32 hour week there is the option to work four days or spread the hours over five days.
ROLE
This is a diverse laboratory based role that will include the testing of Enthone based products along with the purchasing of raw materials, stock control, monitoring and disposal of laboratory waste products, OH&S with regard to the manufacture of Enthone products, QA testing for internal and external parties, liaising with production staff and the general maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory equipment and instruments. This role will also involve a small amount of customer interactions.
The ideal candidate will have many years’ experience working in a QC laboratory, a strong understanding of metallurgical testing and is used to working autonomously to complete testing requirements.
