Our client is an international chemical manufacturing business with a product range including metalworking and hydraulic fluids and lubricants. Customers range from automotive, oil & gas, steel and aluminium production. The business has a local manufacturing plant and an associated testing laboratory to ensure product quality.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a Laboratory Technician who wishes to improve their laboratory skills by being exposed to a busy Quality Control laboratory, servicing manufacturing and clients. This is a twelve-month contract, working full-time hours from Monday to Friday, and has the possibility for the role to become permanent.
As a Laboratory Technician you will be conducting routine testing on in-use samples from our customers such as Metalworking fluid, Hydraulic fluid and Cleaners. You will utilise various chemical, analytical and physical tests. Some of the tests include pH, Viscosity, Refractive Index, Particle Counts and Titrations.
Apart from the testing, the other key aspect of the role is to enter test data into a database and liaise with sales reps about results and reports.
Our client is looking for someone that will be dedicated and hard working, with the potential to become a permanent employee.
If you want extensive in-house training and the chance to kick start your career in a QC laboratory, then this is the opportunity you have been waiting for!
