Our client, is a highly respected global Company providing analytical testing services nationally. Their laboratories are NATA accredited and TGA licensed and specialise in microbiological and chemical testing servicing the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and environmental industries. We are looking for a Natural Leader, a people manager with excellent communication skills and the desire to drive a high performance culture with emphasis on Quality, Productivity and Employee Development!

The successful candidate will be leading a fast paced laboratory so you will need to have several years of experience working in a similar environment. Coming from a food or pharma laboratory, you with excellent knowledge of Microbiology & NATA standards and experience managing staff. You will be in charge of Senior and Junior Microbiologists, Laboratory Technicians and Sample Receipt Personnel.



To be successful in your application, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Microbiology (or similar)
  • 8 years hands-on laboratory experience in food or pharma
  • 2+ years supervisory experience of a team of at least 8 people
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO17025 and NATA – standard microbiological methods
  • Demonstrable experience and exposure to the core activities of a commercial laboratory, including personnel management, work scheduling, staff development, financial accountability (P&L level)

Highly desirable:
