ROLE

This permanent full-time position is ideal for a Senior Human Resource professional with a background in Industrial Relations, Union and EBRs. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing and enhancing the human resources function through the implementation and evaluation of the company’s strategic HR plans. You will be working closely with all people within the company from technicians through to senior executives. Some of the duties associated with this role include:

  • Managing Greenfield Agreement and the Enterprise Bargaining
  • Ensuring compliance for Industrial Relations and employee relations
  • Developing, revising, and recommending best practice HR policies and procedures
  • Processing of new starters/employees and terminations
  • Managing inductions and training records of all new employees
  • Preparing job description, employee contracts and letters of offer
  • Managing & processing of all end to end recruitment and employee life cycles including sourcing, interviewing salary negotiations and post placement care
  • Assisting the relevant business managers in smooth functioning
  • Reviewing relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreement  to ensure legal compliance
  • Implementing and revising the company’s WHS program to ensure legal compliance
  • Researching, analysing, developing and updating the company’s salary budget and evaluation programs
  • Assisting with the delivery of effective payroll operations (including Superannuation, Tax, Work Cover)
  • Maintaining company directory and other organisational charts

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

We are looking for a dedicated a Senior HR professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

To be successful in your application you must meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline will be highly regarded
  • 7 + years of experience in similar role
  • Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation
  • Proven working experience with IR, EBA and Labour Union
  • Experience with staff recruitment , employer contracts, training and performance reviews
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and comfortable communicating with staff at all levels in such a way that is understood by everyone within the organisation
  • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Well organised, managing time proactively and able to communicate progress promptly and effectively
  • As a Human Resources Manager, you must be able to analyse and present information
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to identify practical solutions
  • Commercial acumen, combined with an understanding of business law in relation to HR and employment rights, and demonstrated application into an organisational context
  • Working knowledge of best practice workplace relations policy, related documentation and staff welfare
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
