Our client is one of the world’s largest coatings companies, with leading market positions and brands in countries around the world. Well-known and highly respected, this multinational Surface Coatings manufacturer, employs more than 40,000 people in more than 70 countries across the globe.
Based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Country HR Manager ANZ and supporting the needs of Supply Chain and Manufacturing. This permanent full-time role represents an exceptional opportunity for a driven and committed HR professional. We are looking for someone that is ready to take the step in their career and prove themselves as a valuable team member and key contributor of the HR function.
Key Duties Include:
Coach and support people managers with employee management, annual performance reviews and talent management processes
Provide coaching and advice to managers to facilitate planning and decision making in areas such as recruitment and people development
Be the ‘Champion’ for Industrial Relations in Australia and New Zealand
Provide HR support for EBA / site agreements and negotiations
Work with managers to identify and manage talent devleopment
Leverage the CoE’s expertise and resources to build a talent pipeline and ensure succession planning
Work with managers to improve employee engagement, encourage employee communication and support local engagement or community events
Safeguard the company by ensuring compliance to local legal requirements in all aspects of HR policy, taking advice from outside legal advisors where required
Help to promote awareness of the company’s Speak Up process and participate in investigations as required
Participate in local internal and external audits
Lead by example by using and promoting all applicable corporate and site policies and procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards
To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:
Degree qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
At least 5 years of experience in an HR capacity
Experience in IR related matters and exposure to EBA agreements and negotiations, highly regarded
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with highly developed interpersonal skills to liaise effectively across all levels of the organization
Excellent time management skills with the ability to excel in a fast paced, complex environment and meet tight deadlines
Ability to make decisions and work autonomously but as an integral part of an extended team
Ability to travel when needed
Well developed influencing and problem solving skills
Conceptual, analytical and result-oriented approach
Service and customer oriented with a solution focused mindset
Ability to execute strategies, including planning and implementation of various initiatives
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
Proficient in MS Office suite
Must have full working rights
