Oversee the Entire Site’s Quality Control Operation!
We are looking for a Experienced Laboratory Operations Manager with substantial prior experience in the management of a QC laboratory within the pharmaceutical or related industries.
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, this important role will regularly interact with the highest levels of the company and collaborate with peers within the on-site management team. The Laboratory Operations Manager has responsibility for fifty positions that directly report to the role through Four Managers:
Providing direction and guidance to these technically competent individuals will require someone prepared to get involved in operations where necessary. Mentorship of the direct reports, so as to develop their management skills, is to be expected from this leadership role.
This senior managerial position shall have oversight of all testing, effective delivery of the stability programs, compliance programs and test specifications. Other accountabilities Include:
Workplace Safety – Ensuring laboratory adherence to protocols associated with any hazardous materials, participation in the site’s OH&S committee meetings and maintaining a safe work environment through addressing all hazards that arise.
Operational & Quality – Evaluation of monthly summary reports of QC testing activities, identification of opportunities for operational efficiencies, meeting of stated production goals whilst keeping costs within budgetary constraints and maintain zero compliance deficiencies in the release of materials/results.
Documentation, Training & Audits – Empowering the department’s training program to support the identifying and developing of staff with potential and engaging in performance management for any individuals whose performance is unsatisfactory; and actively participating in internal/external audits of the laboratory, especially those by regulatory bodies and international partners.
