The Defence Science and Technology Group (DST Group) is part of the Australian Department of Defence dedicated to providing science and technology support for Australia’s defence and national security needs. THE ROLE
DST Group requires an Analytical Scientist experienced in the use of FTIR for Gas Analysis to support their Gas Analysis for Battery Safety & Performance Research project. The successful candidate will work at DST’s state of the art R&D laboratories located at Fishermans Bend in Melbourne.
In this role you will be involved in an active research program investigating the safety and performance of a range of battery technologies, including commercial products and prototype technologies. These battery technologies are investigated to determine their suitability for, and any risks associated with, integration on Defence platforms or equipment.
This is a full-time contract role, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per day, for three years. There is also a possibility of two more 12 month extensions.
