Our client is a well-known and highly respected Chemicals Manufacturer. They are part of a global, diversified international group employing over 100,000 employees worldwide. Some of the sectors serviced through their offices in Australia, New Zealand and Asia include Hospitality, Healthcare, Dairy, Retail Food, Institutional and Industrial & Mining.

 

THE ROLE

This permanent, full-time role reports to the Service Team Leader and supports the company’s clients in the food & beverage manufacturing space. Working together in a supportive team environment, you will be required to visit customers (manufacturing facilities) throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria and assist with installation, servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment provided by the company. Conducting hygiene and service audits will also be a requirement.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

The ideal candidate will be someone with a science degree and/or a trade qualification who is not interested in laboratory work. You must be hands-on, mechanically minded and a great communicator!

To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A relevant qualification in science
  • A trade qualification such us plumbing or similar would be an advantage. Alternatively, hands-on experience in a technical role
  • Past experience and knowledge in preferably the water treatment or laundry industry.
  • You will have the ability to build strong relationships with customers and understand their requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make appropriate recommendations
  • Able to identify business opportunities for growth and to communicate these to the Account Managers
  • Traits such as accountability, ambition, and collaboration will be highly regarded
  • Highly motivated and customer focused
  • Customer service and results orientated
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Interpersonal awareness, initiative and a good work ethic
  • Ability to get along with people at all levels and flexibility are a must
