THE CLIENT
Our client is an agency of the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. It was established in 1993 to centralise the registration of all agricultural and veterinary chemical (agvet) products into the Australian marketplace.
The registration process involves scientifically evaluating the safety and efficacy of a product in order to protect the health and safety of people, animals, plants and the environment.

This Executive Director role is available due to a retirement within the Agency and will be at the Senior Executive Band 1 Level.
With various employment options including fixed term tenures or permanent fulltime, relocation assistance and the option for sponsorship, this role presents the perfect scenario for a senior professional to work for a key government authority.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director will be responsible for the Registration Management and Evaluation Program. This includes product registration and permits for the approval of veterinary medicines and pesticides.
Working within established legislative and policy frameworks, the Executive Director is required to provide significant and detailed guidance on issues related to the assessment of applications, and address stakeholder concerns in relation to complex and sensitive matters associated with such evaluations.
