Our client is part of a successful and growing multinational company specialising in food testing. Based near Melbourne’s CBD, they have been operating for 70 years and their core testing capabilities for food products are composition, microbiology, allergens and pesticide residue analysis.
Their accredited laboratories are modern and, for those who wish to drive to work, there is plenty of on-site parking. This company’s competitive advantage is their consistency in providing sophisticated analytical services using their state-of-the-art analytical equipment.
This is a full-time position under the terms of a fixed-term contact for 12 months, which will require the successful candidate to work standard hours from Monday to Friday. During the contract’s tenure there are standard annual and personal leave entitlements, which includes paid public holidays.
The role requires someone with the technical knowledge to maintain existing relationships with our client’s key accounts and also contact prospective customers to improve the sales funnel for its food testing services. The primary focus for new business will be to increase the number of samples being submitted to the Food Chemistry and Microbiology sections.
The ideal candidate will have a Microbiology background, preferably with experience in a sales position and/or interacting with customers. Our client requires you to have a current driver licence and, as visiting customers is part of the job, possess your own car. Reimbursement of mileage accrued for business-related travel will be at the rate of 66 c/km.
