Based in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs, our client represents the world’s leading ingredient companies in the Australian and New Zealand market. Their team of highly experienced food technologists work collaboratively, sharing knowledge and experience, to find the best solution for their clients.

Due to continued growth, they require a friendly professional to assist in their customer service team with Sales and Customer Support.

The person in this role will work closely with the internal Logistics Team, Sales Managers, and their customers, to assist in achieving customer satisfaction by providing exemplary service, delivering quality products and on time.

In this role, you will be receiving and processing customer orders, ensure that all customer orders are followed up efficiently throughout the entire order and delivery process, whilst providing impeccable customer service. Additionally, you will assist to solve non-conformance issues or special requirements in liaison Customers and Sales Managers.

Other duties include:

  • Process of sales quotations and orders
  • Coordination of sales orders, stock availability, logistics and delivery
  • Management and use of customer database and CRM
  • Creation of new customer profiles in the CRM
  • The provision of administrative support to sales team
  • Creation of moth end reports to Accounts



You will be pleasant, professional and have a strong commitment to service, by understanding and respecting the customer’s needs and determining options to provide solutions.

You need to be a team player, proactive and a quick learner to progress in this fast working environment. You also need to be process-driven and organised with customer service software/s experience.

To be short-listed for this exciting opportunity you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A relevant qualification, degree preferred
  • Three plus years of experience in a customer service role within a manufacturing environment with a preference for food, chemical, pharmaceutical and shelf sensitive products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with high volume incoming calls
  • Ability to effectively work with a range of stakeholders, at all levels
  • A can-do attitude with a passion for excellent customer service
  • High degree of accuracy for data entry
  • Strong time management skills and ability to deal with multiple orders from start to finish
  • An excellent work ethic and a true team player
  • Additional experience with accounts payable and / or receivable is a bonus and will assist you in progress.
