Our client is a leading supplier of value added ingredients to Australia and New Zealand’s Food Industries and are firm believers in providing solutions to their customers. This enables them to be true partners with their customers.

Due to the continued growth of the business, they are now seeking an additional person to assist their customer service team with office administration, logistics and customer support. Additionally the person in this role will also partner with Sales Managers to assist them in achieving customer satisfaction. A clear career development pathway will occur as the business continues to grow and additional responsibilities will be awarded.

 

ROLE

This multitasking role will provide support to different departments of the company. You will work closely with logistics departments both inbound and outbound, contract warehouses and you will be in charge of maintaining the office stationery, fielding phone calls, and greeting visitors as necessary.

The person in this role will also ensure that all customer orders are followed up efficiently with impeccable customer service. You will liaise with customers and Sales Managers to help solve non-conformance issues or special requirements. You will be responsible for updating and maintaining supplier’s and customer’s price lists and raising new purchase orders.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a working knowledge of manufacturing and experience in business processes.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in your application, you will have more than two years of experience in customer service within manufacturing environment. You will have a strong commitment to service, by respecting the customer’s needs and determining options to provide solutions.

You need to be proactive and quick learner to progress in this fast working environment. You also need to be a process driven and organised team player with customer service software/s experience.

To be short-listed for this exciting opportunity you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A Tertiary or a TAFE qualification in Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent and/or training in Logistics and Operations
  • Have two + years of customer service experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Maintain office stationary, coordinate staff travels and manage catering
  • Enter and process customer orders, invoices and credits
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Update and maintain supplier and customer price lists
  • Liaise with Inbound Logistics to ensure products are on track for timely delivery to contract warehouses
  • Liaise with Outbound Logistics to ensure efficient delivery to customers
  • Assist Logistics with stock transfers, forecasting and any issues that may arise
  • Ensure contract warehouses are provided with all the necessary information to effectively receipt orders and carry out deliveries
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to learn
  • A can do attitude with a passion for excellent customer service
  • A current Australian Drivers Licence
