Our client is a well-known and highly respected Food Manufacturer based in Victoria. They are part of a global, diversified international group employing over 100,000 employees worldwide. With clarity on future direction and clearly defined values, our client is one of Australia’s and New Zealand’s largest food manufacturers.



This exciting position is based in Regional Victoria, less than 100kms from Metropolitan Melbourne.  Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role aims to ensure:

  • The effective management for continuous improvement practices of the business, including planning, development, and implementation of a portfolio of projects
  • Refine the process for delivering and assessing the effectiveness of CI projects, specifically the framework for monitoring business performance and reporting on realised benefits
  • Ensure that CI lessons are captured and shared
  • Lead and manage a team of Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt professionals s to deliver improvements through structured productivity frameworks
  • Preserve and improve the safety of people and quality of products manufactured on site
  • The leading, coaching and development of your team of CI Professionals
  • The building of strong and positive company culture

This is a very large, complex and fast-paced operation and requires a Manager who is passionate about Lean Manufacturing.  You must be decisive, confident, and able to work with cross-functional teams to ensure the plant-wide cost reduction program is successful.

To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications, in Science, Technology or Engineering
  • Practical Education in Lean/Six Sigma
  • You will have significant experience in leading CI Programs in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and several years experience with a track record of driving sustainable organisational performance improvement through effective leadership, change management and continuous improvement
  • The ability to work professionally and build relationships at all levels internally and externally
  • Well established analytical and problem solving skills ensuring appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner. You will be decisive with a sense of urgency in driving initiatives through to completion
  • Ability to positively support and encourage others through change. Take a leading role in change management
  • Good work ethic, strong presentation skills, and a good team leader
  • A leader that supports career aspirations through robust conversation and connecting people to help drive progressive career paths
